Choose a colour in the context of your car.

A colour-change wrap uses vinyl film to give the agreed exterior panels a different appearance. The brief starts with the car, the original colour and the finish you want, from a reflective gloss to a more muted satin or matt surface.

We review physical material options alongside the body shape and coverage. Colour on a screen is only a guide: lighting, curves and finish all affect how a film looks on the vehicle. The quotation also records areas that remain in the original colour.

Give the vinyl the cleanest possible foundation. A professional decontamination wash removes traffic film, wax, grease and bonded residue that can compromise inspection, positioning and edge adhesion.

Final preparation depends on paint condition and the selected graphics. Paint repair, glue removal and heavy contamination may be quoted separately.

Post-graphics ceramic protection

Add a compatible ceramic coating after the graphics or wrap has settled. It can deepen gloss, make routine washing easier and reduce the way road film and environmental contamination cling to the finished surface.

Ceramic coating does not make graphics damage-proof. We confirm vinyl compatibility, finish and curing time before recommending the coating system.

Artwork, material and finish

Coverage and paint condition come first.

A colour wrap covers the surfaces agreed in the specification. Door shuts, deep returns, unpainted textured trim and other complex areas need separate discussion. The original paint may remain visible at openings and panel gaps depending on the chosen scope.

Vinyl follows the surface beneath it. Chips, dents, poor repairs or unstable paint are not corrected by wrapping, and some surfaces may need remedial work before installation. Tell us about repainting and coatings when you send the vehicle details.

Care guidance depends on the chosen film and finish. Keep the supplied instructions and discuss removal when the wrap reaches the end of its intended use. We do not promise a fixed lifespan or damage-free removal without considering material history and paint condition.

Colour-Change Car Wraps FAQs.

Is a colour-change wrap the same as repainting?+

No. This is an applied vinyl film over suitable existing surfaces. It changes the appearance of the agreed panels but does not repair the paint or replace bodywork preparation.

Can I choose gloss, satin or matt vinyl?+

These finish types can be discussed, subject to suitable material availability and the vehicle application. Review physical samples because screen images are not reliable colour standards.

Will the original colour show when the doors are open?+

It may. Door shuts and interior returns need their own specification. We agree the exterior coverage and any additional areas before quoting.

Can a wrap hide stone chips or peeling lacquer?+

Vinyl does not repair the underlying surface. Defects can remain visible, and unstable paint or lacquer may make the vehicle unsuitable until repaired.

How long does a colour-change wrap last?+

Useful life varies with film, exposure, storage, panel orientation and care. We discuss the selected material's guidance and your intended use rather than promising one lifespan for every car.

Can the colour wrap be removed later?+

Removal can be assessed, but the outcome depends on the film's age, installation history and underlying paint. Repainted or deteriorated surfaces need particular consideration before fitting and removal.
