Partial Car Wraps

Transform selected areas of your car with a coordinated vinyl treatment, keeping the original paint visible as part of the overall design.

Designed for your car

A stronger design without covering every panel.

Partial car wrapping brings connected colour and graphics to chosen areas of the bodywork. It can build a bold side treatment, emphasise the rear quarters or combine a few panels into a single visual theme.

We start with the shape and colour of your car, then decide where the vinyl should begin and end. This service is useful when you want more coverage than individual decals but still want the original paint to remain a visible part of the design.

Complete graphics care packages

Prepare before fitting. Protect after application.

Either package can be added to a car, van, fleet or race vehicle graphics project. Tell us what is being fitted and we will coordinate the care appointment with production and installation.

Before application

Pre-graphics valet & preparation

From £80

Give the vinyl the cleanest possible foundation. A professional decontamination wash removes traffic film, wax, grease and bonded residue that can compromise inspection, positioning and edge adhesion.

  • Cleaner surface for vinyl adhesion
  • Earlier identification of tar, fallout and paint defects
  • Less fitting time lost to avoidable contamination

Final preparation depends on paint condition and the selected graphics. Paint repair, glue removal and heavy contamination may be quoted separately.

Post-graphics ceramic protection

From £250

Add a compatible ceramic coating after the graphics or wrap has settled. It can deepen gloss, make routine washing easier and reduce the way road film and environmental contamination cling to the finished surface.

  • Easier maintenance of vinyl and surrounding paint
  • Added gloss and contamination resistance
  • A protection plan matched to the vinyl finish

Ceramic coating does not make graphics damage-proof. We confirm vinyl compatibility, finish and curing time before recommending the coating system.

Layouts and coverage

Shape the treatment around your car.

01

Side and lower-body wraps

Use the doors and lower panels as a continuous design area, with body lines guiding the proportions.

02

Rear-quarter graphics

Concentrate the visual theme around the rear arches and connect it with smaller details further forward.

03

Contrasting panels

Discuss colour accents on selected panels, with dedicated roof and bonnet services for those applications.

04

Show and promotional layouts

Combine a partial wrap with authorised logos or display graphics where the brief needs a stronger identity.

Artwork, material and finish

Keep the design connected across panel gaps.

The layout needs to work with the doors open and closed, around handles and across curved surfaces. Important details should not be lost at an edge or wheel arch. We review those transitions before the artwork is approved.

Printed vinyl can carry complex colour artwork; solid-colour film can suit simpler contrasts. The material and finishing route depend on the design, shape and intended use, rather than one fixed specification for every partial wrap.

If your aim is only a pair of racing stripes or a small logo, the dedicated stripe or decal service may be a better starting point. A focused brief helps keep the design work, coverage and fitting appropriate to the result you want.

A quote shaped around your brief

Partial Car Wraps prices and fitting.

We price the actual panels, artwork and installation requirements. Coverage alone does not determine fitting time, particularly around recesses, trim and compound curves. Prices are plus VAT unless stated otherwise.

Design, production and fitting are coordinated at our Norwich graphics centre, serving customers across Norfolk. Confirm your preferred supply or fitting route when you enquire.

Partial Car Wraps FAQs.

How is a partial car wrap different from decals?+

A partial wrap generally uses larger connected areas of film on selected panels. Decals are separate logos, lettering or smaller shapes, although the two can be combined.

Can I keep most of my car's original colour?+

Yes. The amount of visible paint is part of the design brief. We agree specific panels and boundaries before producing the vinyl.

Can a partial wrap cross several panels?+

Yes, where the surfaces and layout are suitable. The design must account for door gaps, handles, curves and installation joins so the graphics align coherently.

Do you offer roof-only or bonnet-only wrapping?+

Yes. Our roof and bonnet wrap pages explain those individual panel treatments and the details needed for a quotation.

Can partial wrapping be used for a show car?+

Yes. A show-car brief can combine selected coverage, logos and styling details. Share event timing and references so the design and production can be planned together.

Can you quote from photographs?+

Photographs and vehicle details help establish an initial scope. Measurements or an inspection may still be needed before confirming the final fitting specification and price.
