Partial Van Wraps

Create a strong branded van with selected areas of vinyl, using the original paint colour as part of a considered partial-wrap design.

Designed for your van

Make the unwrapped areas part of the layout.

A partial van wrap uses larger connected graphics on selected panels while leaving some of the original paint visible. The best layouts deliberately connect the vinyl with that paint colour, so the result feels complete rather than unfinished.

Coverage might focus on the rear quarter, lower sides or a strong side-and-rear treatment. We choose stopping points around the actual bodywork and position the key business message where it remains readable. The coverage is defined by panels and design, not an assumed percentage.

Complete graphics care packages

Prepare before fitting. Protect after application.

Either package can be added to a car, van, fleet or race vehicle graphics project. Tell us what is being fitted and we will coordinate the care appointment with production and installation.

Before application

Pre-graphics valet & preparation

From £80

Give the vinyl the cleanest possible foundation. A professional decontamination wash removes traffic film, wax, grease and bonded residue that can compromise inspection, positioning and edge adhesion.

  • Cleaner surface for vinyl adhesion
  • Earlier identification of tar, fallout and paint defects
  • Less fitting time lost to avoidable contamination

Final preparation depends on paint condition and the selected graphics. Paint repair, glue removal and heavy contamination may be quoted separately.

Post-graphics ceramic protection

From £250

Add a compatible ceramic coating after the graphics or wrap has settled. It can deepen gloss, make routine washing easier and reduce the way road film and environmental contamination cling to the finished surface.

  • Easier maintenance of vinyl and surrounding paint
  • Added gloss and contamination resistance
  • A protection plan matched to the vinyl finish

Ceramic coating does not make graphics damage-proof. We confirm vinyl compatibility, finish and curing time before recommending the coating system.

Layouts and coverage

Choose where the visual impact belongs.

01

Rear-quarter graphics

Concentrate colour around the rear of the van and connect it with a simpler forward section.

02

Side-panel wraps

Use the broad side panels for a main brand graphic, leaving the cab or upper body in its original paint.

03

Rear-door treatments

Develop a coordinated rear design with enough space for the business identity and contact route.

04

Wrap and lettering combinations

Combine a larger printed area with separate cut-vinyl details on the remaining panels.

Artwork, material and finish

Thoughtful boundaries make a partial wrap work.

The transition between vinyl and paint is a design decision. We consider panel gaps, body lines and the direction of the artwork so edges have a clear purpose. A rear-focused layout may need a different colour balance from a lower-side treatment.

Partial coverage can use less material than a full wrap, but design complexity and fitting time still matter. Large recesses, multiple colours, old-vinyl removal and detailed finishing can change the quote. We price the actual specification rather than promising a fixed saving.

Supply photographs taken in daylight so we can understand the existing paint colour and condition. Screens vary, so physical material references may be needed before agreeing how the new graphics meet the unwrapped areas.

Partial Van Wraps FAQs.

What counts as a partial van wrap?+

It is a connected vinyl treatment covering selected areas rather than most of the agreed exterior. The exact panels and boundaries are specified in the quote.

Is a half wrap always half the price of a full wrap?+

No. Material area is only one part of cost. Design, panel complexity, preparation and fitting time affect the price, so the actual coverage needs assessing.

Can you design around a coloured van?+

Yes. The original colour becomes part of the layout. Photographs and, where needed, a physical colour check help agree the relationship between the vinyl and paint.

Can a partial wrap include separate lettering?+

Yes. Printed panels can be combined with cut lettering and logo decals. All elements should be planned together so the identity feels consistent.

Can I expand a partial wrap later?+

An extension can be assessed, but aged film, colour variation and the original design boundaries may affect the match. Tell us about future plans when the first layout is developed.

Do you offer partial van wrap fitting in Norwich?+

Yes, fitting is arranged at our Norwich graphics centre. Vehicle condition, panel coverage and preparation determine the scope and appointment.
