Vinyl Roof & Bonnet Wraps

Choose a contrasting roof, bonnet or coordinated pair of panels, with film selection and fitting planned around the details of your car.

Designed for your car

Choose one panel or bring both together.

A roof or bonnet wrap changes the balance of a car without changing every exterior panel. A dark roof can create contrast above the glass line; a different bonnet finish can emphasise the front of the car. Together they can form a coordinated styling treatment.

This page helps you choose the right scope. The dedicated roof and bonnet pages below explain their different fitting details, from aerials and roof rails to vents and bonnet edges. If both panels are required, we review them as one design with an agreed material and finish.

Complete graphics care packages

Prepare before fitting. Protect after application.

Either package can be added to a car, van, fleet or race vehicle graphics project. Tell us what is being fitted and we will coordinate the care appointment with production and installation.

Before application

Pre-graphics valet & preparation

From £80

Give the vinyl the cleanest possible foundation. A professional decontamination wash removes traffic film, wax, grease and bonded residue that can compromise inspection, positioning and edge adhesion.

  • Cleaner surface for vinyl adhesion
  • Earlier identification of tar, fallout and paint defects
  • Less fitting time lost to avoidable contamination

Final preparation depends on paint condition and the selected graphics. Paint repair, glue removal and heavy contamination may be quoted separately.

Post-graphics ceramic protection

From £250

Add a compatible ceramic coating after the graphics or wrap has settled. It can deepen gloss, make routine washing easier and reduce the way road film and environmental contamination cling to the finished surface.

  • Easier maintenance of vinyl and surrounding paint
  • Added gloss and contamination resistance
  • A protection plan matched to the vinyl finish

Ceramic coating does not make graphics damage-proof. We confirm vinyl compatibility, finish and curing time before recommending the coating system.

Layouts and coverage

Select the panel treatment.

01

Roof-only wrapping

Focus the colour change above the windows, with roof furniture and any sunroof considered in the specification.

02

Bonnet-only wrapping

Create a contrasting front panel, accounting for contours, vents and the agreed edge treatment.

03

Roof and bonnet together

Coordinate both panels with one colour direction or a deliberate combination of finishes.

04

Stripes and accents

If you want narrow bands rather than full panel coverage, explore motorsport stripes alongside the wrap options.

Artwork, material and finish

Different panels need different preparation.

Roof rails, aerial bases, washers, scoops and vents influence access and finishing. Tell us what is fitted to your car and provide close photographs so these details can be assessed before an appointment is arranged.

Horizontal panels receive different exposure from vertical bodywork. Material suitability and care should be discussed for the actual roof or bonnet application. We do not assume a film will behave identically on every part of the car.

Gloss, satin and matt finishes can be considered subject to suitable film availability. A textured visual effect is still an applied vinyl treatment; it does not replace the structural panel beneath it. Physical samples help confirm the appearance.

Before you book

Vinyl Roof & Bonnet Wraps FAQs.

Can I book a roof wrap without wrapping the bonnet?+

Yes. Roof and bonnet wrapping are separate services and can also be quoted together. Choose the relevant detail page for the information needed.

Will a black roof wrap match my existing black trim?+

The appearance depends on the film, trim material and lighting. A physical comparison helps agree a suitable finish; an exact match should not be assumed from a screen image.

Can you wrap a car with roof rails or bonnet vents?+

These features need assessment because they affect access and edge finishing. Supply photographs and details of any aftermarket parts before quoting.

Do horizontal panels need special care?+

The selected film's guidance should be followed for roof and bonnet applications. Exposure, contamination and washing methods affect their condition, so discuss how the car is used and stored.

Is a carbon-look wrap a carbon-fibre panel?+

No. A carbon-look film is a decorative vinyl finish over the existing panel. It does not change the construction or structural properties of the roof or bonnet.

Should I choose stripes or a full panel wrap?+

Stripes leave more paint visible and create a linear styling feature. A panel wrap changes the appearance across the agreed panel surface. The right choice depends on the visual effect you want.
